When a coach leaves in times like these, emotions run hot, speculation spreads, gossip follows, and loyalty gets tested.
Scripture calls us to slow down, speak with restraint, and choose understanding over reaction.
“The one who has knowledge uses words with restraint, and whoever has understanding is even-tempered.”
Proverbs 17:27 (NIV)
Serendipitous Thoughts by Sugar Bear
"Every Day I’m in the Transfer Portal for Jesus Christ"
"So whether you eat drink, or whatever you do , do All to the glory of God"
1 Corinthians 10:31
Every day especially today is glory.
Not someday.
Not when the storm passes.
Not when the noise dies down.
Today.
Even when the naysayers are loud.
Even when gossip replaces truth.
Even when man is lifted above God.
Even when things feel strangely dim.
I wake up each morning like a freeman stepping into the transfer portal for Jesus Christ choosing Him again.
Not just when prayers feel empty.
Not when pressure mounts.
Not when approval is at stake.
Every day.
That’s what this means:
I do not choose Christ based on convenience, applause, fear, or fatigue.
I choose Him daily with intention, humility, and obedience.
This is not reactive faith.
This is formed faith.
Scripture simplifies what we complicate:
“And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”
Colossians 3:17 (NIV)
Eating. Drinking. Ordinary things.
Agents of glory.
One of the enemy’s greatest lies is that today doesn’t matter that someday is when life counts. But Scripture pulls us back again and again to now. Glory is not postponed. Glory is practiced.
So here’s an honest, freeing assessment:
• Whom do I belong to?
God’s possession bought by Christ.
• Who am I?
A new creation.
• Where do I see grace at work?
My weakness His strength.
• What’s my why?
For the Lord.
• What needs to be laid down?
Vanity empty striving.
Whether you’re cooking a meal or signing a NIL deal.
Being a sports fan.
Coaching a team or caring for the vulnerable.
Raising kids or crunching numbers.
Ask: Does this honor God? Does His character show through me?
And then pray:
“Whatever I do today, help me do it for Your glory.
I’m a sinner when I speak, let it be for You, not man.
When I serve, let it be Your will.
Give me grace like that old rugged cross.
I choose You.”
Do your best.
Be authentic.
Then trust He is working.
God bless you and this ministry!
