Serendipitous Thoughts by Sugar Bear
As I’m sitting outside the Westminster Library in Colorado, the air is calm about sixty degrees and everything feels still for a moment.
No rush. No noise. Just space to think.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die.” John 11:25 (NIV)
“He has set eternity in the human heart.” — Ecclesiastes 3:11 (NIV)
I hear these questions more often than people admit:
Why am I here?
How can I be truly happy?
Does my life really matter?
Why do I feel empty inside?
And the quiet one we push away what really happens when I die?
I’ve asked them myself. Late at night. Sitting alone. When the noise finally shut off. I was busy. Productive. Doing what I was “supposed” to do. And still something felt off.
That emptiness wasn’t failure.
It was a signal.
God wired us that way.
Scripture says He placed eternity in our hearts. That restlessness isn’t a flaw it’s a reminder. This world, by itself, will never be enough.
We weren’t made to run on achievement, approval, or comfort. We were made for Him.
Jesus never promised a louder life or an easier one. He promised life. Real life. A life rooted in knowing we belong to God on purpose, by grace.
Your life matters because God chose you. Intentionally. Not as an extra. Not as an accident. Meaning isn’t something you manufacture. It’s something you receive when you stop striving and start trusting.
And death? For those in Christ, it isn’t the end. It’s a doorway. Because Jesus lives, death doesn’t get the final word.
Hope does.
Prayer
Lord, meet every restless heart reading this. Answer the questions we’ve been carrying alone. Replace emptiness with Your presence, fear with Your peace, and uncertainty with hope in Christ. Amen.
Blessing
May you rest today knowing your life matters, your future is secure, and eternity has already begun in Jesus Christ.
God bless you and this ministry!
