Serendipitous Thoughts by Sugar Bear
"He Meant It For Good i sing to my unsung hero"
“He drew me up from the pit of destruction… and set my feet upon a rock…
He put a new song in my mouth, a song of praise to our God.”Ps 40:2-3
There’s a story I love to tell not because it makes me look strong, but because it proves I was never alone.
There were nights in Allen House a orphanage in Cincinnati Ohio;when darkness felt permanent. A child learns quickly when comfort disappears. You stare at ceilings long enough and start believing your life was stolen before it ever began.
Lost. Forgotten. Rewritten by pain.
But God does His finest artistry in the dark.
I ran from that silence to the gridiron at Jack Trice Field. Under stadium lights, I found temporary joy. The crowd roared, helmets collided, and for a moment the loneliness sat quietly on the bench.
But cheers fade.
Years later, I sat on a hill in Colorado with a fishing rod and a sunrise. No crowd. No applause. Just stillness.
And in that quiet, something deeper than sound spoke to my soul:
“I’ve got you, Sugar Bear.” cry out Jesus!
That’s when Genesis became personal:
“As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.” Genesis 50:20
What was meant to break me, built me.
What was meant to steal me, shaped me.
What was meant for harm, God bent toward good.
I am a living, breathing, walking “look what the Maker has done.”
If you feel that in your heart say amen below!
I am a testimony of what the Lord has done. I can’t believe my own eyes sometimes. My heart came alive with You, Lord. I feel fire in broken bones that once felt abandoned.
I am not worthy yet I am chosen.
From the rising sun to the setting, His name is worthy to be praised (Psalm 113:3).
I could climb a thousand mountains of praise and never reach the height of His mercy.
The boy in the darkness.
The athlete in the spotlight.
The man on the hillside.
All of them were held.
Now in the twilight of life, I see it clearly:
It was never about making me impressive.
It was about making me His! How about you, make it well with your Soul reach out to a friend a stranger a family member And say I love you
And when you know you belong to the Maker,
you don’t just survive your story
you shine through it as a Courageous Citizen for Christ.
God bless you and this ministry!
Lord A sinner, when temptation comes my/our way,"Lord I need You !" My defense , Righteousness
