June 14 – Serendipitous Thoughts by Sugar Bear

Fear Is a Trap—Trust Is a Trail
“The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.”
— Proverbs 29:25 (ESV)
Personal Reflection :
I remember walking through a season when every decision I made was filtered through one question:
What will they think? I didn’t realize I was building my life around the fear of man until it left me stuck—trapped in anxiety, seeking approval that could never satisfy.
But God doesn’t call us to be liked—He calls us to be faithful.
And when we trust the process and the promise, we begin to see the trap for what it is. The fear of man is a snare—but trust in the Lord? That’s freedom. That’s safety. That’s strength.
Jesus didn’t ask for permission to do what was right. He walked through the crowd, eyes on the Father, heart full of purpose. And because of Him, we can too.
Children of God:
To the one afraid to speak truth—trust the One who is the Truth.
To the one craving approval—rest in the approval already won at the Cross.
To the one tangled in fear—cut the cords with courage, and trust the process and the promise.
Man’s approval is a baited trap; God’s approval is a solid refuge. Like a bird flying free, we escape the hunter’s net when our wings are lifted by trust in the Lord.
🙏 My Prayer
Lord, free me from the trap of needing man's approval.
Help me trust You more than I fear others.
Remind me that You are both the process I walk and the promise I cling to.
You are my refuge. My voice. My vindication.
Amen.
God bless you and this ministry!
